HAIL & WIND REPAIR
Failing to address hail or wind damage quickly can result in extensive secondary damage. Our emergency response team will perform the dangerous task of temporary roof repairs, covering broken windows, and otherwise securing the structure until the storm blows over. We can then address the permanent repairs once the claim has been filed and settled.
VAN ROOY RESTORATION ROOFING PROCESS
1. Shingle Removal | We don’t use any powered equipment for this process. A shingle removal spade is our preferred method. |
2. Felt Removal | Once the shingles have been removed, we remove the felt with the removal spade. |
3. Ice & Water Shield | A great product we constantly use to prevent leaks and ice dams. |
4. Synthetic Underlayment | Not to be confused with felt. We feel synthetic underlayment is a better product. |
5. Drip Edge (if needed) | A metal strip that extends beyond the other parts of the roof and is used to direct rainwater off. |
6. Snap Lines | Even with years of roof experience we still snap lines to ensure the shingles are perfectly aligned. |
7. Starter | Installed on the perimeter of your roof to lock your shingles in place and prevent any blow-off. |
8. Shingle | Our roofing experts will guide you with the various shingles you can choose from and provide samples. |
9. Flashing & Vents | We flash around vents and where the exterior of the house meets your shingles to prevent unwanted water and air. |
10. Capping | Seals the peak of the roof where the shingles come together from either side. |
11. Clean Up | A very important part of the job that’s often overlooked. Your property will be free of nails and other related trash. |
